Since 2003, at-risk students in University
High School in Orlando FL, have
received training in the Academy of
READING® as part of their intervention
program. After two consecutive years of
positive results with their reading
implementation, the school introduced the
Academy of MATH® to 9th grade students who scored at Level 1 or
Level 2 in their 2005 Florida Comprehensive
Assessment Test (FCAT). Results from the
study demonstrate a clear and significant
math proficiency impact for the test
group in comparison with the control group. |
