N.C. Department of Public Instruction Moves to Tackle Reading Problem in State Through Professional Development Broadcast Series
The series focuses on student successes in reading literacy; first broadcast includes solutions that work, including the Academy of Reading software.

OTTAWA, Canada – AutoSkill International Inc., the makers of Academy of Reading, announces that the Academy of Reading has been chosen by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction to be featured in the StarNet professional development series – Series 4: Achieving Student Success in Reading Literacy. Academy of Reading is featured in Part One of this series focusing on diagnosing student needs – using data to drive instruction. The entire series will include 25, 2-hour programs that address the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).
Academy of Reading has been evaluated and recommended to the schools in North Carolina as an effective resource to support instructional reading programs in grades K through 12.
The program will run as follows:
