What is EETT?
The goals of Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) are to:
- Improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools.
- Assist students in crossing the digital divide by ensuring that they are technologically literate by the time they finish the eighth grade.
- Set aside 25 percent of grants for professional development to ensure that teachers are able to integrate technology into the curriculum to improve.
How do schools use EETT funding?
Schools use their formula funding generally to support the ongoing needs of their technology education program such as hardware and teacher professional development. The competitive funding is often used to create a program integrating technology into the curriculum that supports academic achievement through content-based software.
